Get to Know Shadi Haidar, DMD

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Helping people and building lasting relationships with his patients—this is what makes Dr. Haidar eager to come to work each day. He says it’s incredibly rewarding to improve someone’s oral health, relieve their concerns, and help them feel more confident in their smile, often in a single visit. Your goals will become his goals, and he can offer you multiple ways to achieve them so that your journey and results are as unique as you.
Dr. Haidar chose dentistry because he wanted a career that combined science, hands-on work, and the ability to connect with people. He has always enjoyed figuring out how things work, and dentistry felt like the perfect amalgamation of his interests. Over time, he has especially come to appreciate the connections he builds with his patients and the trust they place in him.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Now with nearly a decade of experience, Dr. Haidar started his college education at the University of Massachusetts Boston before going on to earn his DMD at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Despite being out of school, he still studies and completes continuing education every year to bring the latest, most effective care to his patients.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Haidar is proud to be a part of a healthcare family, with his older brother being a pharmacist, and his younger brother following in his footsteps as a dentist. Nothing makes him happier than spending time with loved ones, especially his three nieces. Bilingual in English and Arabic, his hobbies are mostly physical activities, such as swimming. He also likes to travel, especially to Lebanon (where his parents are from), and enjoys movies and fiction with great stories (like anime).
